Once upon a time, there was the computer games TV show. The computer games TV show would allow people to see the latest games in living colour and give people an insight into what they themselves could be playing in the future.
The computer games TV show had many flaws, such as the reviewing system very rarely dipped below half of the scale, the fact that kids brought along to take part in the recording would judge titles they have played with for all of 10 minutes just by how the game performed graphically, and the problem that most computer games TV shows ended up being focused at children so therefore could not discuss neither high-brow content nor demonstrate games containing violence or sexual overtones. This made the gaming population of the world unhappy, not just for the shoddy way that the shows became too mainstream for their enjoyment, but also because they would rather be playing games instead of watching other people playing games.
The gaming netcast was born. Gamers with internet connections would connect to the magical network of global communication and listen to gaming information much earlier than the Television would ever give them. The gamers also discovered that these audio-based transmissions were perfect, since they could listen to the show whilst actually playing a game, something that the goggle-box in the corner would not allow them to do.
Gamers also discovered that they could also put these recordings onto portable audio playback devices called “Empeefree” Players, which gave them the chance to listen to what they want, when they want, wherever they want. The portable audio playback devices allowed the gamers to listen during their educational lectures, during which the tutor would go on at length about mundane trivia like Pythagoras’ theorem. Gamers rejoiced at being able to hear the latest information whilst waiting for the bus. Fans of electrical entertainment felt compelled to discover the inner secrets of the gaming industry whilst having a massage at a health club. And this was good.
Now, having seen the wave of gaming netcasts gaining power and speed, the folks of divine intervention at Gametactics.com have decided that now, yes that’s right, now would be a good time to allow the public to savour the tastiest morsels of video game entertainment from the table scraps of the latest and greatest gaming development teams. They too decided to allow people with “Empeefree” players to enjoy the latest and greatest information that Gametactics has to offer.
And so it has come to pass, that Gametactics.com is doing a Podcast called Video Game Guys.
And there was much rejoicing…
